Saint Catherine Laboure (Miraculous Medal) - November 28

Saint Catherine Laboure was born on May 2, 1806.  She entered the community of the Daughters of Charity in Paris, France and in 1830, the Blessed Virgin appeared to her. 

In one apparition July 18, 1830, the Blessed Virgin promised to give Saint Catherine a mission that would cause her great suffering.   During the November 27th apparition the Blessed Mother showed Saint Catherine the medal of the Immaculate Conception that is now know as the Miraculous Medal.
