"Welcome to the parent revolution!" Matthew Oliver
The next two speakers actually made national fame on Fox News. Speaker Mike Wilkes teacher at Ponderosa High in Shingle Springs, California was placed on paid leave for speaking out against the state's COVID related mandates after he taught his class without wearing a mask and participated in the school's No Mandate Monday.
"Raise your hand if someone in your life stands to lose their livelihood if these mandates go through?
Raise your hand if you or your children are at the risk of loosing their education? Raise your hand if someone in your life is on the verge of fleeing everything they know and love in California for life somewhere else?" Mike Wilkes
A crowd with hands raised high responded to Mike's questions. Listen to his story below.
Speaker Lexi Wagner, senior at Ponderosa High took her mask off at school and received strict repercussions from school administrators.
When Lexi was told by an administrator in her school that he agreed with her but couldn't do anything about it, Lexi replied, "That's okay, I will stand for you too." Listen to her story.
The next speaker is Rebecca Friedrichs, a twenty-eight-year public
school teacher, who was forced to fund state and national teachers’ unions whose
politics and divisive tactics degraded her profession and our
national character.
Her lawsuit, Friedrichs v California Teachers’ Association, sought
to free teachers from forced unionism. It was argued before the U.S. Supreme Court
in 2016. Though poised to
rule 5-4 in Rebecca’s favor, the Court deadlocked after the death of Justice
Scalia.
Determined
to stop state and national unions from destroying our schools and American
values, Rebecca refused to give up.
In her book Standing Up
to Goliath: Battling State and National Teachers' Unions for the Heart and Soul of Our Kids and Country, Christina recounts dozens of powerful personal accounts, and exposes the National Teachers Union.
She’s a
Prager University host, and founded For Kids and Country a national movement of
parents, teachers, students, faith leaders, and citizens uniting to restore our
schools and culture. Follow her at For Kids and Country.
Speaker Jonathan Zachreson founded Reopen California Schools, a volunteer
group formed in June 2020 which consists of
families who advocate for parents’ right to choose and the educational environment
best for their students. They primarily focus on educating parents on laws, regulations and rights.
Jonathan Zachreson asked, "So why are we here? We are here because on October 1st Governor Newsom issued a mandate that all of our kids had to be vaccinated in order to get an education...He actually had a different mindset during the campaign trail. We invited him to speak today, but he couldn't make it..."

The next video contains two speakers. The first represents The Parent Association, an organization which represents parents as they advocate for the social, emotional and academic well being of students. The second is a statement from Eric Early a candidate for Attorney General of California. Mr. Early was the lead lawyer in the recall movement.
Chris Krohn, a school counselor at John Adams Academy Roseville campus shared some quotes from some of the high school students he works with. This quote really hurt my heart, "The Pandemic taught me to fear germs and other people's breathing, which made me anxious to be around people." Listen to Mr. Krohn's story.
Christina Hildebrand, founder and president of A Voice for Choice spoke next. Her call to action was to get to know your California
This next speaker brought everyone to tears. Michelle Thomas Page tells a cautionary tale.
And finally, Christina Werner explains her project PublicSq.com, an organization that connects freedom-loving Americans with local community, reliable information, and businesses that share their values.
