Regarding the Ascension of the Lord, the ecclesiastical provinces of Boston, Hartford, New York, Newark, Omaha, and Philadelphia have retained its celebration on the proper Thursday, while all other provinces have transferred this solemnity to the Seventh Sunday of Easter.

“The Ascension reveals the most high calling of every human person, called to eternal life in the Kingdom of God.”

  “As followers of Jesus we have a high calling, really high, eternal life on high with God.  So let’s keep our eyes fixed on our goal.”   

Tomorrow begins the Novena to the Holy Spirit.
  Our Novena will end at Pentecost.
