Saint Andrew The Apostle
November 30
November 30
According to the Gospel of John, Andrew was first drawn to Our Lord when John the Baptist pointed to Jesus and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God.” (John 1:35-36) Andrew’s initial thought was that of evangelization. He went to his brother Simon and told him, “We have found the Messiah.” (John 1:41) And the two of them became fishers of men. (Matthew 4:18-20, Mark 1:16-18)
We too are called to be fishers of men. But it is finding the right balance in such evangelization that is difficult. Excitement over the goodness of God can be quite overpowering.
