Presentation of the Jesus

Today we celebrate the feast of the Presentation of Jesus. On this day Mary and Joseph obediently fulfilled the Law of Moses and consecrated their first born to God. Similarly, at our baptism we too were consecrated to God. We were set aside for a holy purpose, with a vocation instilled in us by the Author of Life, Our Creator.
Lord thank you for our vocation,
our gifts and talents -
As we strive daily
to pick up our cross and follow you,
please give us the grace
to make every moment
an act of worship -
bringing all glory and
honor to you O Lord. Amen
