Saint Josphat Kuncewicz - November 12 - The Apostle of Unity

Born in Ukraine in 1580 Josaphat became a member of the Ruthenian Union (the Catholic Church with Oriental rite).  In 1604 he entered the Ukrainian Order of Saint Basil (Basilians) and became the bishop of Polotsk in 1618.  Saint Josphat Kuncewicz was known for his humility as well as his work for the unification of the Eastern Orthadox and Roman Catholic Christians. He was killed in 1623 by an anti-unity mob.
