“Rather, God chose the foolish of the world to shame the wise, and God chose the weak of the world to shame the strong, and God chose the lowly and despised of the world, those who count for nothing, to reduce to nothing those who are something, so that no human being might boast before God.”
1 Corinthians 1:27-29
1 Corinthians 1:27-29
On December 9, 1531 Juan Diego rose before dawn to walk fifteen miles to daily Mass. Today we celebrate his feast day, “one who was considered foolish, weak and lowly but through whom God brought about the conversion of millions.” Through God’s grace the humble Juan Diego overcame his fears and become instrumental in bringing the Good News to the indigenous people of Mexico.

pray for us,
that we too
may follow God's
plan and will for our life.
